Richard the third Act 3 Summary

the first scene begins with the welcoming of Prince Edward by Richard and Buckingham. Prince Edward is speaking to Richard saying he wishes more of his uncles were there to welcome him. This is where Richard attempts to begin manipulating the prince.He tells the prince that those uncles he wants are dangerous and that God kept them away because the prince didn't need fake friends.Seeing past what Richard had said the prince was smart and disagreed.After, others such as Hastings and Lord Meyer, the Prince asked for his mother and his brother to only find out that they were hiding in the sanctuary of the church. Buckingham calls what the Queen Elizabeth did a peevish course and asked the Cardinal if he would persuade the Queen to send the Prince, and if she doesn't he sends Hastings as well to "from her jealous arms pluck him". The Cardinal refuses as it is a blessed sanctuary Elizabeth resides and he would fee guilty of of sin. Buckingham retorts calling the Cardinal senseless and then trying to convince him that the young Prince York, did not agree to sanctuary terms as the queen did. The Cardinal agrees but Prince Edward does not think it is a good idea. Furthermore, Richard murmurs to himself that the Prince would not be living much longer.
             Prince Edward begins to speak of when he becomes the King and how he wishes to be brave just like Julius Caesar. Cardinal and Hastings return with the Prince York. He is to stay at the Tower of London but says he does not want to because Clarence his uncle was jailed and murdered there, but after joking conversations of him living with Richard as well as other uncles the boys eventually go to the Tower. Buckingham, Catesby and Richard then begging to talk about their plot for Richard to become king, but Catesby does not think that Hastings would go along with the plan. Buckingham even though decides that he would find out. After, at the council meeting Richard and associated discuss how they are going to overthrow and gain the crown. Richard says he wants the queen family members murdered at Promfret castle.lastly, buckingham goes to talk to Hasting and Richard tells him if Hastings does not agree "chop off his head."
